Circle Island Tour

Our 9.5 hour narrated Circle Island Tour takes you to all that the Big Island has to offer. You'll find that there are no shortages of wonders on this island. We'll take you through the legends, history and mythology oorchid leif the island's diverse cultures as we explore Hawaii. We begin from Hilo, HI and head north to the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory for some island treats, then off we go to the Akatsuka Orchid Gardens to find out why we are called the Orchid Isle.

Then it's off to the Volcanoes National Park to walk through Lava Tubes (underground conduits that conveys lava through long distances). Then we visit the Halema‘uma‘u Fire pit for a stunning view into the Earth's strata, we'll stop at the Thomas A. Jaggar Museum for a history lesson in Volcanism. Then off to the Volcano House Hotel and Restaurants for a delicious no-host lunch.

Our next stop will be beautiful Punalu‘u Black Sand Beach, don't forget to ask your guide to stop for some delicious Punalu‘u sea turtulesSweet Bread. Then off we go on a picturesque drive to the Place of Refuge National Historic Park where the ancient law breakers would stay to avoid the sentence of death, the normal atonement for breaking the law. We'll go upcountry from there to the Painted Church to admire the artistry of Benedictine Monks, After which we'll visit Kealakekua Bay National Marine Preserve, site of Captain James Cook's discovery and demise.

We'll toast the halfway mark of our journey with the richness of the Royal Kona Coffee Factory. Then it's off to Kailua Kona for a shoreline cruise on Ali'i Drive.city of refuge After which we head Mauka (Mountain Side) to our Paniolo (Cowboy) country for a stop at the Parker Ranch. After that refresher, you'll be ready to continue our voyage to Waipio Valley Lookout for a breathtaking view of our island's northern shoreline.

Our next stop will be Akaka Falls State park for a view to remember, then we'll take Onomea scenic drive and take you through the botanical beauty that is Onomea. We'll then take you to Rainbow Falls for another photo opportunity and end our tour with fond Aloha's.
